Visa to attend congresses and fairs, or to carry out technical, scientific, artistic or professional activities

For all visa applications, regardless of the reason for travel (tourism, business, etc.), applicants are required to submit their application with all the necessary documentation at least 45 days prior to their tentative travel date. 

Applications for a visa to attend congresses and fairs or to carry out technical, scientific, artistic or professional activities can be made at any Consular Office of the Argentine Republic. The authorized stay period for this type of visa is a maximum of 30 (thirty) days.

The procedure is personal, so the applicant must contact the relevant Consular Representation to arrange an appointment and coordinate the submission of documentation.

Requirements: 

  • Valid passport with a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of entry into the country, and at least one blank page (two sides) available. Photocopy (on A4 paper only) of such passport (first & second page) including valid & expired visas and all stamped pages.
  • Two recent photographs 4x4 cm with white background (put in an envelope - DO NOT PASTE).
  • Complete Visa Application Form (FSV), (preferably in electronic format) signed by the applicant.
  • Round Trip Flight Itinerary: Flight booking for Argentina (it is recommended not to buy the ticket until visa is granted).
  • Hotel Booking or accommodation arrangements (must be corresponding with Visa Application Form & Flight). Must be SECURED HOTEL BOOKING with credit card.
  • Personal/Sponsor´s bank statement for the last 06 months certified by the bank (with name stamp of bank officer).
  • Original Letter from current employer (if any) in Pakistan or elsewhere, containing applicant’s full name, designation, purpose and duration of visit. Also provide last 03 months Pay/Salary slips.
  • If applicable, Invitation letter from the inviting company/entity in Argentina. Said letter should state the following: personal data of the applicant (complete passport details), purpose of the trip, length of stay, level of financial support (if any) over the applicant and full details of the organization or person. Invitation letter must be submitted in one of the following options:

        1) Original letter must be sent to the Embassy or to the applicant. Please note that in this case, the signature of the person/representative of the company/entity must be certified by an Argentine notary public and subsequently by “Colegio de Escribanos” (Notary Public Association); or,

        2) The inviter can use the TAD (Trámites a distancia) platform for online invitations in the following link: https://tramitesadistancia.gob.ar/#/inicio

In both options, the company/entity must be registered at Registro Nacional Único de Requirentes Extranjeros (RENURE) and must provide their registration number.

Visa fee: USD 200 (non-refundable)

Important: The above list is not exhaustive, and the consular authority may request supplementary or additional documentation, as it deems appropriate.

FULFILMENT OF ALL OF THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE GRANTING OF A VISA, WHICH REMAINS AT THE EXCLUSIVE PRERROGATIVE OF THE ARGENTINE STATE ACCORDING TO APPLICABLE NATIONAL LEGISLATION.
