Invitation Letter to foreign nationals for business activities, congresses, fairs or other technical or professional activities

Any individual or legal entity based in Argentina that invites foreigners to carry out professional activities in our country must be registered in the National Registry of Foreign Applicants (RENURE) of the National Directorate of Migration. For information on registration, please call 4317-0289 or send an email to requirentes@migraciones.gov.ar.

Once registered with RENURE, the inviting party must prepare a note or letter of invitation to send to the Argentine consular authority abroad. This note must be formal in nature and is an important element in the visa application process, but it does not initiate or guarantee, under any circumstances, the granting of a visa to the foreigner.

The process begins when the foreigner contacts the consulate, applies for a visa and submits the relevant documentation. At that point, and not before, the consulate will verify that the note has been received correctly.

The note may be made in accordance with one of the two procedures below:

A) Electronic invitation letter via the TAD platform

Individuals who wish to invite foreigners will digitally sign an electronic invitation letter that will be automatically sent to the relevant consulate for verification and processing of the corresponding visa. With this procedure, there is no need to print it on paper, have it certified by a notary, or send it by post to the consulate.
